To celebrate the hungry excitment of the first week back to school.
XPACE the OCADSU and MYOCAD have paired up to give you a slick shmorgishboard of art and design. Welcoming newcomers and showcasing talents from across all disciplines at OCAD, this will be a party in our pants and you are invited.
You are invited to submit your art and design
your sculpture/installation
your drawing and painting
your integrated media
your criticism and curatorial practises
your advertising
your graphic design
your industrial design
your environmental design
your material art and design
your photography
your illustration
your printmaking
and of course, your non-major work and non-work
we are accepting digital submissions of files in the form of smallish jpegs via email, larger files and video/multimedia submissions (i.e. cd/dvd/video) via a drop box in the OCADSU office (2nd flr 100 McCaul OCAD)

the show will take place at XPACE September 5-12, with an opening party on saturday september 10

this isnt the actual deadline but i believe that Sep 1 sounds like the latest we would accept art.

actually, the deadline will be a week before the show. so the deadline will probably be the weekend of august 26-28. Will keep everyone posted if this changes.

with the digital submissions, are you projecting them for the show or is that just to decide which pieces you want to printer copies of?

to decide. although the better quality you send in the higher the chance that we'll show it on projectors at some point during the week.

anyway you could get the school to donate print credits so you could print up the work and it doesnt have to be projected artwork?

you can take pics of it and send it to the email: karen@xpace.info or burn them on a cd and put it in the drop off box which is located outside the SU office.

I give you rights to use any of my art from myocad for this show as long as you don't make any money from selling my shit. Does that help?

we have been recieving a lot of submissions, we thank you for your enthusiasm and interest keep em coming...we are looking for more design/ video/sculpture/multimed ia/
and performance/time/site specific stuff for the night of the party....sept 10

myocad.com is an independent student community for OCAD. That boys and girls happens to stand for Ontario College of Art and Design. The "of" and "and" didn't make it into the acronym, otherwise our website would be called myocoaad.
