I am a 4th year Graphic Design Student at OCAD. It came to my attention recently that OCAD pulled the Internship program for 4th year students due to lack of enrollment. As a result, I am trying to have it reinstated for September 2010! In order to make this happen I have to show a significant example of student interest in registering for such a program.
If you are interested in participating in a Internship program please join the "Bring back OCADs co-op program for Sept 2010" Group on facebook and leave your info and any comments.
I have already met with OCAD officials so things are underway, but in order to solidify an Internship renewal, we need as many names as possible!
The program is for 3rd and 4th year Design students (Advertising, Environmental, Graphic, Illustration, Industrial and Material Arts Design.)
Every name counts and all comments are appreciated.
But I did an internship (field study) in my 3rd year and it was the easiest full credit/85 I ever got. I would definitely recommend that people do this, because the year after you can slack on courseload because you've finished a full credit the summer previous.
myocad.com is an independent student community for OCAD. That boys and girls happens to stand for Ontario College of Art and Design. The "of" and "and" didn't make it into the acronym, otherwise our website would be called myocoaad.
